Don Quixote Book Cover
and Print Collateral
The concept for the book jacket is to represent the ink stain as something else than just an ink stain, emphasizing Don Quixote’s crazy imagination. In this book jacket the audience can get a glimpse at one of the most important scenes of the book, Don Quixote fighting the windmills. The splattered ink is also forming Don Quixote’s sword. I also used the ink stain to represent “La Mancha”. La Mancha translated to English is stain, and this the name of the village where the whole story takes place. I used hand-drawn typography to match the imagery of the cover. The print collateral consists of coasters, bookmarks, and a coffee cup.
